  • The Mountain village of “Misfat Al Abriyin” is situated at an elevation of 1000 meters above sea level. The village is home to ancient buildings that date back hundreds of years, adding to its charm and historical significance.
  • Wadi Ghul, also known as the bottom of Wadi Nakhar, is a breathtakingly beautiful valley in Oman. It is a deep canyon located in the heart of the rocks. The valley is also a tourist destination for mountaineering and hiking enthusiasts, as it is linked to a mountain walkway from its entrance to the town of ALakhteem at the top of Jabal Shams.
  • Jabal Shams, the highest mountain peak in the country. Located in the Wilayat of Al Hamra in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah, this mountain was named “Jabal Shams” due to the sun being the first to rise and the last to set at its summit, which stands tall at approximately 3009 meters above sea level. Jabal Shams is renowned for its unique geological formations, including the second largest fault in the world, and diverse wild trees such as the bot tree, the al-Alan tree, and the olive tree, growing on different parts of the fault. The locals residing in the various villages surrounding this mountain have successfully planted seasonal fruit trees like apples, peaches, and pomegranates.
